Morgan Freeman Impersonator Does Voice Over in B.J. Lawson Ad

In a video release on Friday, Morgan Freeman allegedly* narrated a truthful expose on Price’s record. Price has done little other than run very negative attack ads against B.J. Lawson. What choice does Rep. Price have? His record is terrible and there is no way he can run on that.

The ad has since been pulled from Lawson’s website and the candidate apologized to Freeman for the confusion and said that they had been duped by a Los Angeles political consulting firm.

Later, Lawson’s campaign said the political firm M.E.I. Political of Los Angeles was responsible. The company did not return a call seeking comment Monday.

Associated Press is reporting that there is now a statement from Freemen’s publicist that he did not record the ad. Lawson’s campaign staff has responded.

Lawson and campaign manager Martin Avila initially said Freeman did the ad. Avila later backed off that claim, saying the campaign had a contract signed for a Freeman ad with Los Angeles-based agency M.E.I. Political. The agency did not return a call seeking comment.
