Why Are We So Afraid of God?

Whether you are Catholic or Jew, Baptist or Methodist, Believer or not, there is truth in God’s word: the Bible.

Even atheists may learn and then agree on the truths of the bible. Some of the Bible’s teachings are, dare I say it, secular:  “Friends Shape and Sharpen One Another” – Proverbs 27:17 and “True Friends Strengthen and Help Each Other. – Ecclesiastes 4:9–12. The Bible doesn’t just teach Godliness, it teaches humanity.

Many get caught up in the ceremony, the pomp and circumstance and the decoration of the churches and mosques. Those buildings are not the focal point. Those in the buildings are no more special than you. It’s the message.

We are all God’s children. We are all brothers and sisters. Heck, even the socialists push that message. The difference being that socialists push unity over individual freedom, but God teaches us all to be our own people. In fact, the book tells us that he will only help those who help themselves.
