T-Paw: “I’m Running for President”, Sort of

Former Minnesota Governor, Tim Pawlenty (R) announced on Tuesday night on CNN’s “Pierce Morgan Tonight” that he is indeed running for President.

I’m not putting my hat in the ring rhetorically or ultimately for vice president. I’m focused on running for president.

After his appearance and speeches at the 2011 CPAC, it is no great surprise to those paying close attention to the GOP nomination process.

Tim Pawlenty did also say that he would make a full formal announcement later when further pressed by Pierce Morgan. AFP also reported that his Campaign quickly watered down the announcement telling CNN that Mr. Pawlenty didn’t officially, really .. really announce that he’s running for President.

The implications for officially announcing the run is a host of complicated regulatory requirements around reporting and fund raising. It would appear that T-Paw is running, but is not really really running .. yet.
