Behind Every Good Man

While the rumor mill continues to turn as to whether or not Texas Governor Rick Perry will enter the race for the 2012 presidency, there is one person who’s opinion probably matters more than anyone else’s: his wife, Anita Perry.

On Tuesday, Governor Perry said:

“My wife was talking to me and saying: ‘Listen… get out of your comfort zone. Yeah, being governor of Texas is a great job, but sometimes you’re  called to step into the fray.”

There is the common quote that may be taken in the wrong light if not viewed from the appropriate angle.

“Behind every good man is a good woman.”

It is this author’s firm belief that a man and woman are intended to compliment and support each other, not that one person makes or breaks the other. Without the strong support of his wife one would assume that the Governor would not even consider entering the race.

There is also the common quote:

“If mama ain’t happy, nobody’s happy!”

With Mrs. Perry giving her resounding approval for the Governor to enter the race, it seems quite likely an official announcement may be coming soon.
