A NATO helicopter carrying members of the Navy SEALs DevGru (a.k.a. Seal Team Six) was shot down in Afghanistan killing every one aboard.
DevGru (Development Group) is the elite group of SEALs credit with the killing of Osama bin Laden.
AP is reporting that while from the same group, none of the more than 20 SEALs killed in the crash were involved in the bin Laden raid.
Another source says the team was thought to include 22 SEALs, three Air Force air controllers, seven Afghan Army troops, a dog and his handler, and a civilian interpreter, plus the helicopter crew.[1]
