I'm Rubber and You're Glue…

I guess when your national publication sells for only a dollar, this is the best you can do.

Andrew Sullivan, who claims to have been a conservative yet supports Obama, gay marriage, bailouts, etc., typically only makes headlines when he’s being overly immature or ridiculing Republicans, and this time he’s done both. His latest title, “Why are Obama’s critics so dumb?” is nothing more than a publicity tactic to get conservatives riled up and start following him on Twitter.

The article attempts to prove that Obama is SO smart that all of his shortcomings and failures are actually on purpose and part of his grand long-term plan. You can almost hear the President himself screaming, “I meant to do that!” from the White House lawn.

Dripping with liberal ooze, Sullivan practically kisses the feet of the mighty Obama who, in Sullivan’s eyes, can do no wrong.

At least he’s honest about his bias. Sullivan writes, “If I sound biased, that’s because I am… biased toward a president who has conducted himself with grace and calm under incredible pressure, who has had to manage crises not seen since the Second World War and the Depression, and who as yet has not had a single significant scandal to his name.”

After drying my eyes from literally crying with laughter, I reflected on the article. Conducted himself with grace? Anyone remember Obama waving tea bags around? How about that statement about Republicans sitting in the back of the bus? Or when he told us to grab a mop? Was that graceful? Presidential?

Does Sullivan really believe the President has been without scandal? Has he heard of ACORN? Fast & Furious? Solyndra? Sullivan cannot be taken seriously by any thinking American, and likewise for Newsweek which only seems to make mainstream news when they have a mag cover bullying conservatives. Remember the Palin cover she hadn’t approved that showed her in running shorts? Or how about that lovely cover of Michele Bachmann that depicted “crazy eyes?”

Perhaps Mark Hemmingway from the anti-Newsweek publication, The Weekly Standard, said it best. “In recent years it seems as if Newsweek has been descending into self-parody.”

Sullivan though markedly immature for even writing an article such as this, likely didn’t write the title, which clearly displays the incompetence of the Newsweek editorial staff. Maybe we should ask, “Why is Newsweek so dumb?”

For all the liberals wishing to comment on this piece just remember, whatever you say bounces off me and sticks to you.
