The overall unemployment rate for young veterans inDecember 2011 rose to 13.1 percent. As reported in USA Today: “One out of three veterans ages 18 to 24 were without work the last quarter of 2011, double the rate of civilian peers, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics.
