A new ad from Obama’s campaign repeated charges that Romney, while working at Bain Capital, shipped American jobs to China and Mexico (FALSE); that Romney has personal wealth in investments in Switzerland and Bermuda (TRUE–it’s called Diversification and it’s legal); and that as Massachusetts governor, he sent state jobs to India (FALSE).
The mocking nature of this advertisement makes me see RED. This type of contemptuous ad would be more appropriate on the Comedy Central Station than sponsored by candidate Obama. I could see if it was a PAC ad. Political Action Committees aren’t under the thumb of the candidate. But the ad begins with Obama approving it.
It appears what Bain Capital did after Romney had left to work on the critical situation at the Olympics will remain an issue. It won’t matter what the truth is. It also appears that having money invested in overseas programs, stocks, etc., will remain an issue even though most people with money have a diverse portfolio as can be seen in Nancy Pelosi’s $1-5 Million profit from Asian investments and Debbie Wasserman-Schultz Swiss bank accounts.
From Jon Ward, Huffington Post: “For months, Obama’s reelection campaign has pounded away at Romney’s character, painting him as a greedy, out of touch, malicious and possibly even criminal rich white guy. Democrats claim it’s working.” Take a look at the mainstream media news programs. They report whatever comes from the White House as fact without investigating or even verifying. They want to believe it’s working.
You know what?
I think it is working.
But not as the Democrats have hoped. Yes, this kind of hateful, deceit filled advertising has gotten my attention. It is working to rile me up and get me off the couch. Romney wasn’t my first choice… or even second choice for GOP candidate but I cannot find fault in a candidate who has been a successful businessman, run a state and is committed to a faith that is proud of its American heritage.
If you do not want a Socialist agenda; if you think the country needs to rein in spending; and if you think the solution is not more welfare but more jobs the choice cannot be more clear.
Right now, at this point in time, the right candidate is Mitt Romney.
