“We Can Flip The Vote 51-49% & They Would Never See It” Says Computer Programmer Under Oath

Following the 2004 Presidential Election, hearings commenced regarding the possible “rigging” of the computer software programs.  Clinton Curtis, a Computer Programmer, testified under oath that he was asked to “rig” the system, and to flip the vote for Congressman Tom Feeney.  Clinton goes on the say that he wrote a program that would “do just that, it would flip the vote to 51%-49%”.  When pressed if there would be a way to detect this “rigging”, Clinton responded “No, they would never see it”.  Yes, this is from 2004, but the question is “how safe are we from this type of thing happening again?”  I have read many articles about how shell shocked veteran political analysts are over the 2012 Presidential election.  How Obama crushed a known “political rule” about undecided voters, which should always edge to the challenger.  And then the numbers that just don’t add up.  At one political blog here is what is stated

Independents were shown favorable to Romney over Obama in poll after poll – in some cases by a significant margin.  CBS is attempting to state that those Independents were in fact just Republicans.  Really?  Then if you add the Republican numbers with the Independent numbers that would make the electorate approximately  60% Republican-leaning, right?  So if that is in fact the reality that CBS is attempting to state here – how does Mitt Romney or any Republican lose any national race?  Again, the numbers simply don’t add up – but somehow, someway, they did add up for Barack Obama on Election Day.
