Boehner: This is Not a Game

Speaker of the House, John Boehner, responded strongly to President Obama’s continued campaign effort to ‘tax the rich’ as a means to end the financial crisis quickly. Tax increases on the wealthiest two percent of Americans will damage the economy and is not the solution, said Boehner, reaching out through social media via the Internet this weekend. Additionally, the Speaker outlined several reasons House Republicans believe the Democrats current proposals will hurt hundreds of thousands of small businesses across the United States.

“This is not a game,” said Speaker Boehner. “Jobs are on the line. The American economy is on the line.”
