The BBC link below will take you to a ten minute video created by BBC news reporter Alan Little. Perhaps the reporter heard or saw fellow Brit Piers Morgan’s continued quest in vain to understand the relationship between Americans and their guns. Certainly, Piers might learn a bit about his own culture as Little explains the difference between the independent American ideal and that of the long subjugated Europeans, how we were ‘shaped by a different experience’.

Gun ownership is more than self defense. Americans believe in an empowered citizenry; self reliant, independent, free. As Little explains, and as most of us know, it’s not just the Wild West that represents the United States but the history of our armed Minutemen, ordinary citizens, ready and willing to stand against tyranny.
