Popular leftist blogger fakes own hate crime

Today’s left is perpetually indignant and seems to hear “hate speech” whenever a conservative opens his or her mouth.
In reality, of course, this is classic psychological projection as there are few groups more intolerant than self-described progressives.
Some particularly unscrupulous activists are so eager to trash the right they simply can’t wait for a political target to emerge. Such is the case with University of Wyoming student Meg Lanker-Simons.
According to police, the prominent writer and radio host posted a fake comment on a campus social media page in an effort to stigmatize conservatives.
“I want to hatef––k Meg Lanker Simons so hard,” the post read, claiming she “runs her liberal mouth all the time and doesn’t care who knows it.”
Using the self-created opportunity, Lanker-Simons posted a response on the site and her own blog, during which she admonished both the poster and administrators who allowed it to be published.
Following a weekend of exploiting her own handiwork for maximum personal gain, authorities showed up with a citation alleging she “admitted to making a controversial post on UW Crushes webpage and then lied about not doing it.”
While the evidence is overwhelming, another social media page, “Meg Lanker-Simons is innocent,” has since been developed.
Even the page’s summary doesn’t deny she did what police accuse her of, noting “she did what was justified and deserves not to be held accountable….”
Only a leftist can create an enemy out of thin air and then, after being called out for the deceit, receive support from political allies. To them, the ends justify the means; they are convinced their stereotypical portrayal of conservatives is valid – even if it is based on nothing more than an overactive imagination.
For a bit more context, Lanker-Simons’ greatest claim to fame on campus is her involvement in a lawsuit forcing UW to re-invite domestic bomber Bill Ayers to speak at the school.
