We Need Integrity Back In This Country

Columnist Michael Goodwin recently wrote, “We are witnessing the making of a tragic history. The fact that America’s leader lacks credibility among friend and foe alike is creating peril without precedent. Absent a sudden stiffening of spine and a president whose word is his bond, the world is heading toward a catastrophe.

The definition of integrity, according to the dictionary is:

1. The quality of being honest and having strong moral principles; moral uprightness.
2. The state of being whole and undivided.

It seems that integrity is a long gone quality in our country. Let’s face it, politicians were never known for being the most honest people, there was a survey out some time ago that found politicians were trusted less then used car salesmen and realtors. But we are now living in a time where politicians so blatantly lie to the American people, we have a leader, (and I use that term loosely) who has lied from the day he hit the campaign trail until present day, it seems that it is impossible for Obama to tell the truth on anything.

As I read that definition of the word integrity, I knew it did not describe Obama, Reid, or Pelosi, they obviously have no integrity and they do not seem to care. Let’s be truthful here, it doesn’t matter what side of the aisle you are on, all politicians fudge the truth for their own benefit, that is as old as politics itself. But it seems today, politicians just don’t care anymore, someone on the left lies, then they are beat-up by the right, someone on the right lies, then they are beat-up by the left. But no matter what, the wheel keeps spinning in Washington.

Abraham Lincoln, supposedly an Obama hero, warned about the corrosive effect of failing to be honest. As he famously put it, “You can fool some of the people all of the time, and all of the people some of the time, but you cannot fool all of the people all of the time.

New Benghazi e-mails are now coming out, they are just confirming what we already knew, that the Obama administration tried to cover-up the fact that it was a terrorist attack and not caused by a video. Do the lies from this administration ever stop, once you start lying, you have to lie to cover-up that lie, then lie to cover-up that lie and on and on, until the whole thing finally blows-up in their faces and we are heading to that point, finally. When confronted with the new e-mails, presidential lap dog Jay Carney said, “It is not about Benghazi — it is about the protests around the Muslim world.” You would think he would get tired of lying to the American people day after day.

We have a President who would not know the truth if he sat on it, I think he has been lying and getting away with it all his life, he knows no other way. We have a president, who I believe is the most incompetent and corrupt president that this country has seen in modern times. Jimmy Carter was incompetent, but this president has added corruptness to the equation as well. To all the people that voted for Obama, we tried to tell you what he was, but you just would not listen, now we are all paying the price.

If Obama had a thimble full of integrity, he would have a thimble full of integrity.
