Is It Time For Another Crusades

The first of the Crusades began in 1095, when armies of Christians from Western Europe responded to Pope Urban II’s plea to go to war against Muslim forces in the Holy Land. The Crusades were a direct response to Muslim aggression, an attempt to turn back or defend against Muslim conquests of Christian lands.

It seems to me that Muslims have always been a problem around the world, of course Liberals always refer to the Crusades as a slaughter of innocence, and they refuse to open their eyes to the fact that Muslims have always been terrorists. America has been fighting Islamists for longer than many realize. Even before America’s independence was declared, American ships were pirated and their Christian crews enslaved by Muslim pirates.

In 1786 Thomas Jefferson, then US ambassador to France, and John Adams, then US Ambassador to Britain, met in London with Sidi Haji Abdul Rahman Adja, the Muslim ambassador to Britain, in an attempt to negotiate a peace treaty, during negotiations the Muslim ambassador said; “that it was founded on the Laws of their Prophet, that it was written in their Koran, that all nations who should not have acknowledged their authority were sinners, that it was their right and duty to make war upon them wherever they could be found, and to make slaves of all they could take as Prisoners, and that every Musselman (Muslim) who should be slain in Battle was sure to go to Paradise.” Boy that sounds like it could have come out of today’s newspaper, does it not? It seems that Muslims haven’t changed; they still want to kill the infidels.

We heard from the president the other day, he said that from the very beginning of our country, Islam has been woven into the fabric of our nation. I guess he meant that it was the Muslims who captured slaves in Africa and would sell them to Dutch traders for use in America, or maybe he meant that in 1805 sailors and Marines of  America fought battles immortalized in a line of the Marine Hymn: “…to the shores of Tripoli.”

Oh, I know what he was talking about, in 1856 when we were involved in Indian wars, America hired a Muslim to raise camels in Arizona, because the cavalry said, instead of using horses across the desert, let’s try these camels, but the Indians laughed at them when they tried to chase them down with camels, so it really didn’t workout all that well.

In a speech at the White House, Obama said to a group of Muslims, “As I’ve noted before, Thomas Jefferson once held a sunset dinner here with an envoy from Tunisia — perhaps the first Iftar at the White House, more than 200 years ago. And some of you, as you arrived tonight, may have seen our special display, courtesy of our friends at the Library of Congress — the Koran that belonged to Thomas Jefferson.  And that’s a reminder, along with the generations of patriotic Muslims in America, that Islam — like so many faiths — is part of our national story.”

Yes, Thomas Jefferson did have a copy of the Koran, but it was a study of understanding the enemy, something Obama is ignorant of doing. It was Jefferson, who embroiled in a war with Islamic terrorists in his day, commented, “Too long, for the honor of nations, have those Barbarians been permitted to trample on the sacred faith of treaties, on the rights and laws of human nature!”  And to all you flaming Liberals out there, no right minded person believes that all Muslims are bad, it just seems that the bad always over shadow the good, who refuse to speak up.
