Hillary and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day

The Coronation of the presumptive Democrat party nominee began today when Hillary Clinton announced that she was running to become the next President of the United States.

The campaigns first press release made some startling revelations about Mrs. Clinton:

From her mother’s own childhood – in which she was abandoned by her parents – to her work going door-to-door for the Children’s Defense Fund to her battling to create the Children’s Health Insurance Program, she’s fought children and families all her career.

While many on the right would agree with the final sentence, the obvious typo wasn’t likely how the former first lady wanted to launch her follow-up to a poorly-run 2008 campaign.

Her launch video was full of everyday people explaining why they want, or rather, they need Hillary Rodham Clinton to be their President. In fact, the video tells Americans that Hillary is going to be their savior and that “Everyday Americans need a champion” and that Hillary wants “to be that champion.”

Whether or not everyday Americans want Hillary as their champion is yet to be seen. Certainly, most Americans aren’t worth between $5 and $25 million dollars like the Clintons according to Hillary’s own financial disclosure report from when she left the State Department in 2013.

As if things couldn’t go more wrong, the Youtube.com video link posted on HillaryClinton.com this morning pointed to .. an unavailable channel.

Now it appears that Hillary is taking a road trip, in a van… ok, not down by the river, but still .. a van – to Iowa. I am fairly certain that most other multi-millionaires don’t travel state-to-state in vans – unless they are trying not to look like multi-millionaires.

Near Hillary’s New York City Headquarters, posters began appearing all mocking Clinton’s campaign efforts to shush certain words in reference to the certain nominee for President.

With all the baggage the former Secretary of State has hanging on her already, near perfection was expected to be the order of the day. It was not.

The Clintons have always thrived on scandal so these small issues are petty in contrast with Benghazi, EmailGate, the Clinton Foundation taking money from foreign governments while she was Secretary of State and .. well whatever else. But considering her near-automatic nomination, at this point, what difference does it make?

Official campaign videos are so blase, so let’s see how NBC late night envisioned the Queen’s announcement.
