The Traitors Among Us

I subscribe to many newsletters, so many in fact, that I sometimes do not have the time to read them all, but I try too. One that I read was from a Web-Site titled General Robert E. Lee, Here is the piece in its entirety.

You are probably familiar with the epigram “the more things change the more they remain the same”, but are perhaps neither familiar with nor care about its source. In any event, Jean-Baptiste Alphonse Karr, a highly intelligent French critic, journalist, and novelist, coined it circa 1850. I have always found Karr’s epigram to be true but am not citing it for pure enlightenment. So what does this have to do with Cicero and Obama you ask. Please be indulgent for this short blog and my purpose will be perfectly clear.

The greatest orator of the late Roman Republic, Marcus Tullius Cicero, 106 BC – 43 BC, commonly known as Cicero, astutely stated the following about treason:

In my opinion Obama is intentionally destroying America’s culture, traditions, and values with much of the resulting damage being irreparable. Many of his acts and edicts have been in arrogant contravention of the U.S. Constitution and he has utterly failed to enhance the incredible greatness our country once enjoyed. To the contrary, America has become a country in decline and laughed at by the world as it watches her self-destruct from within. This once unthinkable situation is a direct result of Obama’s actions and the willful acquiescence of his Congressional sycophants, all in blatant violation of their respective oaths of office to protect and defend America.

It is abundantly clear that times have changed in the 2000 years since Cicero orated so brilliantly and treason remains the same today.

There is no doubt that Obama has done many things that are harming this country, it seems he takes pride in making America look weak and foolish. But the people we need to be watching are the Muslims, if we don’t acknowledge that many of these Mosques are nothing more than Trojan Horses for terrorists, we are in for a rude awakening. “But it cannot survive treason from within.” America needs to beware.
