Texas Governor dares Obama on gun control

Texas Governor Greg Abbott challenged President Obama on the issue of gun rights.

The President has been threatening dictator-like, unilateral action to restrict gun ownership and Gov. Abbott issued an historical Texas battle cry in response.

The “come and take it” phrase originates from the Texas Revolution which also created the famous “remember the Alamo” cry. “Come and Take It” originated during the Battle of Gonzales where Texan forces dared the Mexican army to take a cannon back that had been previously loaned to Texas.

Gov. Abbott didn’t stop there. He then encouraged Texans to arm up in the face of restrictions from Obama.

Obama’s gun grab is rumored to require all private sales to go through licensed firearms dealers which will increase the cost to acquire collectible firearms. Obama is also expected to force anyone selling more than a few guns each year to becomes a licensed dealer. Neither action will make our kids safer as Obama portends. Someone bent on murder has little regard for the law and murder has been illegal for a very long time.
