Donald Trump’s campaign manager, Corey Lewandowski has been charged with misdemeanor battery on Tuesday.
The charge is a result of Lewandowski allegedly grabbing and pushing former Breitbart reporter Michelle Fields.
Trump is defending his campaign manager.
Lewandowski turned himself into police on Tuesday and is due in court on May 4th.
A trump spokesperson said that they expect Lewandowski to be exonerated of the charge.
And that even if he’s convicted, the campaign manager will remain on staff.
