Paul Ryan to step down as Convention Chair if Trump asks

After House Speaker Paul Ryan met with editorial staff at the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, one of the Sentinel’s columnists shared that Ryan would step down if asked.

The tweet was confirmed by a Ryan spokesperson.

The comment comes after Ryan said that he couldn’t yet endorse GOP candidate Donald Trump who is the party’s presumptive nominee.
