Elaine Chao to be Trump pick for Transportation Secretary

Former Labor Secretary Elaine Chao is expected to be President-elect Trump’s selection to lead the Department of Transportation.

Chao headed the Department of Labor under G.W. Bush, was deputy secretary of Transportation under George H.W. Bush  and is the wife of Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.)

Elaine had been a member of Trump’s Asian and Pacific-American advisory panel and met with Mr. Trump last week to discuss labor and transportation policy.

Chao is most recently known for her work as a fellow at The Heritage Foundation and as a contributor on Fox News.
