Trump Inaugural Chairman Says Crowd Size Controversy is All on Him [Video]

Tom Barrack, Chairman of President Trump’s Inaugural Committee told NBC’s Chuck Todd that the controversy over the inaugural crowd size was due to information he provided.

When President Trump asked “how did we do,” Barrack answered him saying that “about a million and a half people” were within viewing and hearing distance. “Those numbers came from me,” Tom admitted.

Barrack went on the explain that the President wasn’t upset about the number, but about the fact that news outlets were using an image that refuted the information he had gotten from trusted staff.

In truth, the attendance numbers don’t matter. D.C. is a liberal bastion and locals would be more likely to attend the women’s march than a republican inauguration. Most of Trump’s supporters are middle-to-low income families that don’t have the resources to go halfway across the country for this event.

This is about the press trying to delegitimize the Trump presidency and working class voters – the president is fighting back.
