The United States Intelligence Community released the declassified version of a classified assessment on Russian digital interference in the 2016 presidential election.
Declassified reports rarely reveal the full extent of the facts or the precise basis for its assessments, as the release of such information would reveal sensitive sources or methods and imperil the ability to collect critical foreign intelligence in the future. While the conclusions in the report are all reflected in the classified assessment, the declassified report does not and cannot include the full supporting information, including specific intelligence and sources and methods.
Since the sources and methods are rightfully classified, the information and conclusions are difficult, if not impossible, to verify. So be skeptical and vigilant when reading the report below.
