President Donald Trump will spend the bulk of Friday with the teachers and staff of Saint Andrew Catholic School.
The president is holding a listening session with parents, teachers and students on school choice and how the Florida Tax Credit Scholarship program helps disadvantaged students attend private and alternative schools they would otherwise be unable.
Jon East, a spokesman from Step Up For Students which runs the scholarship program, said: “I think it’s heartening that people want to see what’s happening in Florida and also take a look at this scholarship program, the tax scholarship program because it does serve the kids, the most disadvantaged students in Florida.”
After visiting the school, President Trump will head to Palm Beach, Florida to join top republican donors at the Republican National Committee Spring Retreat Dinner where he is listed as a featured speaker.
