President Trump Meets with the Republican Study Committee on Obamacare Replacement

The president and vice president met on Friday with the conservative Republican Study Committee to discuss the American Health Care Act.

President Donald Trump said that previously the members of congress in the room were “either a no or a maybe,” on the American Health Care Act, but as a result of meetings and discussions in past few days “every single person in this room is now a yes.”

The president did take the opportunity to disparage media coverage of teh AHCA.

“The press has not been speaking properly about how great this is going to be,” Trump said then added “I watch. I say that’s not the bill we’re passing.”

Disputing recent press reports that the president was backing away from the republican plan to replace Obamacare, Trump said that he is “100 percent” in favor of the bill.
