President Trump congratulates Handel on BIG “R” win in Georgia

President Trump took to twitter to congratulate the republican party on pushing the Georgia 6th district special election to a runoff.

“Despite major outside money, FAKE media support & eleven Republican candidates,” Trump tweeted. “BIG “R” win with runoff in Georgia. Glad to be of help!”

Democrats were hoping to capture a reliably republican House seat as the huge number of GOP candidates watered down the vote, but data points instead point to a democratic party struggling to expand its base away from population centers in blue states and millennials on college campuses.

The “major outside money” Trump referred to likely alludes to reports that 95% of democrat candidate Jon Ossoff’s campaign money came from outside of Georgia – a claim he has declined to refute.
