On Wednesday, India successfully test-fired the advanced Indo-Russian BrahMos Block III cruise missile in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands for the second consecutive day.
BrahMos is the fastest anti-ship cruise missile in operation. The missile travels at speeds of up to Mach 3.0 or 1.0 Kilometre Per Second whilst flying as low as 10 feet above the ground. It currently has a range of only 280 miles due to their membership in the voluntary Missile Technology Control Regime (MTCR.) India is working to extend that range to over 370 miles in the near future.
