PotCoin Sponsors Rodman’s Visit to North Korea [Video]

Former NBA player Dennis Rodman headed to North Korea to visit leader Kim Jong-un. This marks Rodman’s 5th time visiting North Korea.

Previous trips were sponsored by Paddy Power – an online betting firm. But this trip is being paid for by PotCoin who is trying to be the main crypto-currency of the legal weed industry.

Rodman’s goals for meeting with the North Korean dictator are not clear. But Rodman did joke about setting up a backchannel between President Trump and Dictator Kim Jong Un. When asked if he had discussed the matter with the President, Rodman said, “I’m pretty sure he’s happy at the fact that I’m over here trying to accomplish something that we both need.”

Dennis tweeted that the world will find out the purpose of his trip once he returns.

Rodman’s travels to North Korea began in 2013 when he sat with Kim Jong-un to watch an exhibition basketball game. He has since visited four more times.

PotCoin’s sponsorship looks to be little more than a marketing ploy. The announcement of the trip sent the company’s stock up more than 60%.
