Senate Intelligence Committee hears testimonies from Director of National Intelligence Daniel R. Coats, acting FBI Director Andrew McCabe, NSA Director Admiral Michael Rogers and Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein.
The testimony was intended to dig into the abuse of the 702 surveillance program that led to the unmasking and leaking of U.S. persons to the media. Instead, Democrats turned it into the usual Congressional three-ring circus on all things anti-Trump. If Congress is going to re-up the 702 program, their constituents are going to want much better oversight of the program.
At times the proceedings get tense as Democrats ask questions the intelligence community can’t answer in open session or because of the special counsel that was appointed at the behest of … Democrats.
