Scalise remains in critical condition [Video]

Rep. Steve Scalise was shot Wednesday in Alexandria, Virginia, during Republicans’ morning practice ahead of a charity baseball game. Scalise is in critical condition after suffering fractures to his pelvis and damage to internal organs, and his injuries will require additional operations.

Scalise’s office released this statement late Wednesday night;

“Congressman Steve Scalise sustained a single rifle shot to the left hip. The bullet traveled across his pelvis, fracturing bones, injuring internal organs, and causing severe bleeding,”
