Democrat Chair Calls for Resignation of Senator Who Wanted Trump Assassinated

Missouri Democratic Party Chairman Stephen Webber calls for the resignation of a Democrat State Senator who recently called for the assassination of the president.

Senator Maria Chappelle-Nadal made the comment on social media last week when she wrote, “I hope Trump is assassinated.” She later deleted the post and issued a short, obviously coerced apology.

“I am not resigning. What I said was wrong, but I am not going to stop talking about what led to that, which is the frustration and anger that many people across America are feeling right now,” Nadal defiantly exclaimed.

Missouri Lt. Gov. Mike Parson had on Friday called for Nadal to be expelled from the Senate and most other leaders in both parties have at least called for her resignation.

Now, the state DNC Chair has made a formal statement calling for her to resign.

“State Senator Chappelle-Nadal’s comments are indefensible,” Webber wrote in a statement. “All sides need to agree that there is no room for suggestions of political violence in America.” The chairman finished the statement by saying, “I believe she should resign.”

Nadal echoed rhetoric from the extreme left. Members of left-wing extremist groups told reporters that violence is necessary for peace.

“Now on the far-left they say the best way to resist is violence,” Brian Levin, director of the Center for the Study of Hate and Extremism.

Bhatt, an Antifa supporter, said. “There’s a crisis among the left and they’re looking for alternatives outside of party structures. The anarchist movement is one that’s working outside structures. … People are excited about that.”

“People put on the masks so that we can all become anonymous, right?” asked Antifa activist Scott Crow. “And then, therefore, we are able to move more freely and do what we need to do, whether it is illegal or not.”

Chappelle-Nadal’s words expressed the thinking of many on the far-left – that violence is ok, as long as they’re the ones doing it.

“Not only should Marisa Chappelle-Nadal resign her office, but she should be prosecuted for inciting violence,” Libertarian political commentator Lawrence B. Jones III said on Fox News Sunday.
