Does Texas Deserve Hurricane Harvey’s Destruction?

Kenneth Storey, a visiting professor at the University of Tampa, suggested Tuesday that the water and wind destruction in the Houston area caused by Hurricane Harvey was deserved because Trump was the dominant presidential candidate in Texas in 2016. One wonders when Minnesota and Michigan are expected to be hit by a plague for also putting Trump ahead of Hillary in the last election.

The person suggesting this stupid thing is obviously a liberal, probably one who does not believe in God, so why is he putting forth such a deranged idea and crediting God with implementing his own bad wishes for Texans?

Does the dolt believe that if a just God were trying to punish the citizens of Texas because they voted for Trump, that He would allow the minorities and liberals who probably voted for Hillary to have to live through the same misery as the Trump supporters? Why would a just and good God, and our good professor say that God is just and attribute to God the responsibility to punish the state for voting for Trump instead of individually punishing only the offenders who voted for him? And why is God not punishing all of the other states that favored Trump in 2016? After all, Trump was elected president by the citizens of the entire United States. Maybe, and I believe the professor’s illogic tracks here, the clever professor may even go so far as to wish for North Korea to launch a nuclear attack on the U.S. for electing Trump. That’ll show those rascally Republicans! Liberals and their ill-will toward those who don’t agree with them are beginning to look like real threats to the citizens of the United States.

One wonders how many of the current residents of Texas, suffering under Harvey, were formerly residents of New Orleans and relocated to Houston to escape that disaster? Are the hurricane and bad karma literally chasing and following these unfortunate people from Louisiana to Texas? Is God pursuing these poor souls? Is it logical, based on the enormous lack of logic of the good professor, for us to assume that Katrina was the punishment to New Orleans for having elected a liberal mayor in the person of Ray Nagin (whose karma now finds this liberal politician in federal prison)? Did hurricane Sandy punish the residents of New Jersey for voting for Barack Obama?

And if the people who voted for Trump are so evil and undoubtedly racist and homophobic in the opinions of liberal Democrats, then why are we seeing so many white rescue workers rescuing black people from the flood waters in their boats and helicopters? Why would hateful, racist whites want to inconvenience themselves and place themselves in danger to help black people and transport them to rescue areas where they can be fed and housed temporarily in relative comfort and dignity? But the rescue workers are proudly doing these things in order to help those in greatest need, and they’re glad to be able to help.

Hurricanes are naturally-occurring events that develop because of unknown atmospheric and meteorological conditions. They have nothing to do with politics and nothing to do with warming/change, as liberals would have us believe. There have always been hurricanes all over the world, and one wonders if all liberals believe that these naturally-occurring events are always political and are divinely intended to punish someone for something?

The “karma” that Professor Storey thinks God brought down on Texas because of a presidential vote has backfired on him. The University fired him and the good professor is now at liberty to go to Texas and help rescue and relocate the suffering citizens of the Houston area. Liberalism has become a disease that is being spread by total stupidity and a lack of common sense, as expressed by today‘s lying press, and our leftist universities.
