WATCH: Attorney General Jeff Sessions Press Conference on White House Leaks [LIVE STREAM]

Attorney General Jeff Sessions and Director of National Intelligence Dan Coats briefs the media on the status of the investigation into leaks of classified information.

“Criminals who would use their access to our most sensitive information to endanger our national security are in fact being investigated and will be prosecuted,” Sessions told reporters.

Sessions said that four people have been charged with unlawfully disclosing classified information or concealing contact with federal officers.

“These leaks hurt our government,” Sessions said. “All of us in government can do better.”

The attorney general also said that the Justice Department is reviewing policies on media subpoenas after receiving suggestions from career investigators and prosecutors.

“At their suggestion, one of the things we are doing is reviewing policies affecting media subpoenas,” Sessions said. “We respect the important role that the press plays and will give them respect, but it is not unlimited.”
