Bend Over America, McCain Saves Obamacare AGAIN!

Senator John McCain has come to the rescue of Obamacare again, likely putting a fork into any Republican efforts at killing this monstrosity that is expected to stick Americans with double-digit premium hikes this year.

While Republicans rushed to kiss the ring of Alaska’s Lisa Murkowski, the other two of the RINO turncoats who saved the Affordable Care Act back in July – McCain and Susan Collins – were already looking like they were going to go for a repeat of their great American screw job.

On Friday, the pathological attention whore made his announcement that he would not vote for the Graham-Cassidy proposal which was partially the brainchild of his longtime sidekick Lindsey Graham.

It remains to be seen whether this latest McCain betrayal will put a chill on his relationship with the Palmetto State princess but Graham spent a considerable amount of political capital on what was likely the last chance for the GOP to fulfill years of promises to repeal Obamacare.

According to The Hill “McCain to vote no on ObamaCare repeal”:

Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) on Friday announced that he will vote against the latest proposal to repeal ObamaCare, potentially dooming the legislation and, with it, the GOP’s last shot at passing a health care overhaul this year.

“I cannot in good conscience vote for the Graham-Cassidy proposal. I believe we could do better working together, Republicans and Democrats, and have not yet really tried,” he said in a statement, referring to the legislation spearheaded by GOP Sens. Lindsey Graham (S.C) and Bill Cassidy (La.).

Republicans have been racing toward a health care vote next week, ahead of a Sept. 30 deadline for approving the bill on a majority vote.

They had been hopeful that McCain’s close friendship with Graham and the support for the bill from Arizona’s governor would be enough to win him ove — but it was not.

McCain suggested the decision had weighed on him, adding that he takes “no pleasure” in it.

“The bill’s authors are my dear friends, and I think the world of them. I know they are acting consistently with their beliefs and sense of what is best for the country. So am I,” he said.

Mr. Sunday Morning issued a statement via his website that can be summed up in a nutshell as saying that he no longer wants to be bothered with this issue unless his Democrat buddies are included.

It is yet another stinging defeat of Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell who has talked smack for years but when the chips were down, was unable to even control his own party’s contingent who threw him under the bus.

McConnell’s feckless “leadership” will likely continue to be called into question with this latest dumpster fire.

It’s just the latest stab in the back from a charlatan who has wrapped himself in the flag and his “war hero” mythology while in reality is one of the most seditious, disloyal, double-dealing rat bastards in the history of the U.S. Senate.

The red carpets are already being prepared at Meet the Press, CNN’s State of the Union and ABC’s This Week whose hosts will do all but scatter rose petals at McCain’s feet come Sunday morning.
