Meghan McCain announced her departure from Fox News last Friday and it now appears she may be headed to ABC’s hyper-liberal mid-morning whine fest “The View.”
The daughter of Senator John McCain and former Fox News Host is reportedly in talks to fill Jedediah Bila’s seat. Bila, the former token Conservative on the show, left abruptly last week after having asked Hillary Clinton some tough questions.
The View is similar in format to her former Fox gig, “Outnumbered”, where a group of women discusses the issues and events of the day in a panel-style roundtable.
McCain might be the perfect fit for the anti-Trump, angry woman audience the show attracts (and is hosted by.) McCain will give them a token non-liberal who will be critical of President Donald Trump.
Meghan has battled with Conservatives in the past and is politically situated more as an establishment moderate, much like her father.
“Every day of my life I come against a conservative who wants me to shut up,” McCain said. “I do believe I’m right and they are wrong.”
McCain has battled with Conservatives over abortion, immigration, and LGBTQ issues and is frequently critical of the Trump administration.
