Watch: What Happens When You Use Sound to Deflect a Laser Beam?

Steve Mould uses a ballon, bowl, laser, and piece of a mirror to reveal some of the amazing patterns that sound can create.

This wasn’t Steve’s first foray into sound visualization. In March, he uses couscous, a metal plate and a violin bow to visualize two-dimensional standing waves with Chladni figures.
