Dodgers Have No Plans to Kneel for Anthem During World Series

Major League Baseball is poised for a big jump in popularity thanks to the NFL’s ongoing descent into the morass of black-identity grievance mongering and left-wing politics.

While the NFL’s ratings have been tanking and more people are showing up to stadiums on Sunday afternoons dressed as empty seats, baseball has capitalized on a thrilling postseason to set itself up for future success and a return to being America’s game.

Throughout the protests against social injustice, the police, President Trump or whatever the NFL-NBA’s multimillionaire players may be pissed off at on any given week, baseball has been steadfast in the refusal to disrespect the flag outside of a misguided rookie catcher for the Oakland A’s who took a knee last month.

With the 2017 World Series opening on Tuesday night, the hometown Los Angeles Dodgers were asked whether they would use the national attention to take a knee during the playing of the Star-Spangled Banner.

Fat chance.

Via the Bleacher Report “Dodgers Reportedly Won’t Kneel During Anthem Before Game 1 of 2017 World Series”:

The Los Angeles Dodgers will stand in unison for the United States national anthem before Game 1 of the World Series against the Houston Astros on Tuesday night at Dodger Stadium.

TMZ Sports reported none of the Dodgers plan to take a knee during the anthem as a form of protest and team management hasn’t even discussed the issue with the players.

No member of the Los Angeles organization has protested during the anthem throughout the 2017 season. Oakland Athletics catcher Bruce Maxwell was the only MLB player to follow the lead of numerous NFL players and other athletes by kneeling to make a statement about racial injustice.

Dodgers manager Dave Roberts explained his view of the potential protests last month.

“Personally, yeah, I’d have a problem because my father served this country for 30 years and I understand—I can appreciate any player’s individual, however they act, and that’s personal,” he told reporters. “But I would just ask every person to really be educated. When you make a point, something like that—and it’s been in baseball. It’s been in sports. But the thing is, really think long and hard, and really be educated on why you’re doing what you’re doing.

The National League Champions aren’t biting and are clearly more focused on winning a championship than crying for Colin Kaepernick.

No word has yet been given by the American League Champion Houston Astros on whether they intend to hit their knees but since they have not chosen to engage in this malarkey through the duration of the playoffs it’s highly unlikely.

There will, of course, be more grumbling from the racial-animosity peddlers that there aren’t enough blacks in MLB and that it is the equivalent of crackerball but the NFL has provided a warning to other sports leagues of the ratings catastrophe that awaits if the focus is shifted from the ballgame to politics.
