Rep Wilson claims Niger is Trump’s Benghazi

President Donald Trump has repeatedly referred to  Rep. Frederica Wilson (D-Fl) as the “wacky Congresswoman,” He’s not wrong. Wilson fired back on Sunday morning, saying that the ambush in Niger that left four US soldiers dead “is (Trump’s) Benghazi” and demanding an apology to “the nation” from White House chief of staff John Kelly.

“Niger is @realDonaldTrump’s Benghazi. He needs to own it,” the Florida Democrat tweeted.
Wilson also called for an apology from Kelly, whom she says “lied to the American public” in criticizing her in remarks at the White House last week.
At a White House press briefing on Thursday, John Kelly incorrectly claimed Wilson had boasted of securing “$20 million” in federal funding to build a new FBI field office in Miami during the dedication ceremony for the building in 2015. Wilson had taken credit for getting the building named for which Kelly called the congresswoman an “empty barrel,” as her remarks focused more on her own actions than the heroism of the two FBI agents for whom the new building had been named.

Rep. Frederica Wilson (D., Fla.) called a description from White House Chief of Staff John Kelly, in which he compared the representative’s behavior to that of an “empty barrel,” as racist on Friday.

CNN’s Alisyn Camerota asked Wilson about Kelly’s comments regarding her criticisms of President Donald Trump and his phone call with the widow of a fallen soldier.

Wilson said she had heard Kelly’s comments during a White House press briefing on Thursday and said much of what he said was a lie.

“He can’t just go on tv and lie on me,” Wilson said.

Camerota referenced Kelly’s criticism that “empty barrels make the most noise” and Wilson interrupted the host to claim the comment was racist.

“Okay, that’s a racist term too. I’m thinking about that one,” Wilson said. “We looked it up in the dictionary because I had never heard of an empty barrel and I don’t like to be dragged into something like that.”

Rep Wilson is trying anything in her power to take down the President. Attempting to link the tragedy that happened in Niger to Trump, as “Tump’s Benghazi” is just her latest.  Let her continue to make a fool of herself and the Democratic party while we gear up for 2018 midterms. Share this with friends and family to remind them what’s at stake in 2018 if the Democrats get back into power.
