Sens. Orrin Hatch (R-UT) and Sherrod Brown (D-OH) got into a heated debate after Republicans voted the tax reform bill out of the committee. During the exchange, Brown drops into a series of false Democrat talking points and Hatch gives him an earful.
“I really resent anyone saying I’m just doing this for the rich. Gimme’ a break,” Hatch complained. “I think you guys overplay that all the time and it gets old and frankly you oughta’ quit it.”
Echoing the sentiments of everyone in the country that has studied the Kennedy and Reagan tax cuts and the incredible boom economies that resulted, Hatch calls the Democrat’s misleading attacks “crap.”
“It’s a nice political play, but it’s not true,” he added. “So don’t spew that stuff on me. I get tired of that crap.”
