Sessions considers special counsel investigation into Clinton … finally

After a series of scandals, ethically questionable moves and the outright buyout of the Democratic party, the Justice Department is finally considering an honest, independent investigation into Hillary Clinton.

Attorney General Jeff Sessions ordered Monday federal prosecutors to evaluate if a special counsel should be appointed to investigate Hillary Clinton’s dealings concerning her foundation and the sale of U.S. uranium assets to Russia.

The inquiry comes after GOP calls for an investigation into Clinton’s participation in the Uranium One deal sparked public interest.

In a letter to the chairman of the House Judiciary Committee, Assistant Attorney General Stephen Boyd said the Justice Department lawyers would make recommendations to Sessions and Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein about whether an investigation should be opened or expanded, or whether a special counsel should be appointed, related to a host of issues of concern to Republicans.

The Clinton’s foundation allegedly took in $145 million in foreign funds and Bill Clinton received abnormally high compensation for a speech in Russia just as then-Secretary of State Clinton oversaw the government agency responsible for approving the sale of 20% of America’s uranium to a foreign nation.

The inquest comes on the heels of Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s push to investigate Hillary allies Tony and John Podesta whose Washington lobbying firm is now in the final throws of closure.

A special counsel is not guaranteed considering Session’s standoffish nature where Clinton was concerned. Many have wondered what Hillary has on the Attorney General. Whether or not an independent investigation is opened may well reveal any true connections between them.

Will a special counsel actually be appointed to look into Hillary’s misdeeds? Who knows – she’s gotten out of tighter spots by some miracle.
