I’m not a fan of anime or graphic novels and that could be why I found the new Alita: Battle Angel trailer a bit creepy.
Producer James Cameron has successfully joined CGI and live action in his films (Avatar), but Alita just comes off as unreal – almost cartoonish – in this one.
The cast and high-powered directorial/producer credits should make for an intriguing film, but the over-the-top CGI might just be a turn off to all but the loyalist anime junkies.
