Santa Clause has packed the sleigh and is getting set to deliver gifts to children all over the World. This year, volunteers at the North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) in Colorado have updated their Santa Tracker giving kids another fun way to ask “where is Santa.”

Norad has formed partnerships with smart home technology to add more social interaction.

“We’re partnering with Alexa. We’re also partner with OnStar and Cortana,” said Preston Schlachter, the Santa tracker program manager “So there’s a tremendous amount of ways that you can track Santa, besides just the website.”

So whether your dashing around town in your OnStar enabled car or relaxing at home near an Amazon Echo device, your kids can ask “where is Santa” and get an immediate reply.

“You know that is our mission — 24/7, 365 days a year. Norad is tracking everything that flies in and around North America in defense of our homelands,” Schlacter said. “And it is a fun mission that we do on the 24th of December to have that additional task of tracking Santa.”

NORAD will begin its annual Santa Clause tracking mission at 2:00 a.m. EST Christmas Eve morning.
