Trump to Kim Jong-un: ‘my button works’

President Donald Trump on Tuesday said that his nuclear launch button is “much bigger”, “more powerful” and that it actually “works.”

“North Korean Leader Kim Jong Un just stated that the ‘Nuclear Button is on his desk at all times,'” Trump tweeted. “Will someone from his depleted and food starved regime please inform him that I too have a Nuclear Button, but it is a much bigger & more powerful one than his, and my Button works!”

Trump was responding to Kim’s New Year’s Day speech in which he declared that he had a nuclear launch button at his desk, and that the world would have to accept North Korea as a nuclear nation.

NBC News, apparently unfamiliar with metaphors, found it necessary to inform the public that the president doesn’t actually have a “nuclear button” on his desk.
