Pence to lead Presidential Delegation to 2018 Winter Olympics

President Donald J. Trump today announced the designation of a Presidential Delegation to the Republic of Korea to attend the Opening Ceremony and events of the 2018 PyeongChang Olympic Winter Games beginning Friday, February 9, 2018.

Vice President Mike Pence will lead the delegation with Second Lady Karen Pence, who is also a member of the Presidential Delegation.

Newly Announced Members of the Presidential Delegation:

The Honorable Ed Royce (CA-39), Chairman of the House Foreign Affairs Committee

General Vincent K. Brooks, Commander of United Nations Command, Combined Forces Command, and United States Forces Korea

General James D. Thurman, USA (ret.), Former Commander of United Nations Command, Combined Forces Command, and United States Forces Korea

Mr. Marc E. Knapper, Chargé d’Affaires ad interim, U.S. Embassy Seoul

Ms. Sarah Hughes, 2002 Olympic Gold Medalist, Ladies Figure Skating
