Former New York Times Editor Carries Obama Therapy Doll in Her Purse

It’s not like the New York Times’ liberal bias is any secret but here is a creepy story that shows how deep that the rot truly runs at the nation’s most influential newspaper.

The first female editor of the “The Gray Lady” has fessed up that she has been so distraught by President Trump’s election that she is carrying around a Barack Obama “therapy doll” in her purse.

Jill Abramson who was the paper’s executive editor from 2011-2014 until she was ousted divulged this pathetic detail in a piece that she wrote for the Guardian.

Jill Abramson, 63, the former executive editor for The New York Times from 2011 to 2014, claimed she keeps a therapy doll of the 44th president to get her through the Trump Administration, she wrote in The Guardian Mar. 7th. The Harvard educated journalist previously wrote an Obama Administration book, “Obama: The Historic Journey,” published in 2009.

Abramson discussed a so-called “Trump rebellion,” alleging there is a solid chance Democrats will win the Senate, House and possibly the White House in 2020. The Ivy League educated journalist is carrying the “little plastic Obama doll” until the possible Democratic victory.

“It’s easy to look at what’s happening in Washington, D.C. and despair. That’s why I carry a little plastic Obama doll in my purse. I pull him out every now and then to remind myself that the United States had a progressive, African American president until very recently. Some people find this strange, but you have to take comfort where you can find it in Donald Trump’s America,” Abramson wrote.

Abramson’s piece for the Guardian asks “Are we seeing signs of a Democratic wave in the primaries?”:

Though winning control of the House of Representatives in 2018 is their focus, my Democratic sources say that there are already 20 credible presidential challengers giving serious thought to opposing Donald Trump in 2020. The list, unsurprisingly, includes a raft of Democratic senators, and, perhaps surprisingly, at least three strong women, New York’s Kirsten Gillibrand, Minnesota’s Amy Klobuchar and Massachusetts’s Elizabeth Warren.

Other credible potential candidates include New Jersey’s Cory Booker, an African American, Connecticut’s Chris Murphy, a passionate promoter of stiffer gun laws, and Virginia’s Tim Kaine, who was not stellar as Hillary Clinton’s running mate but recently brought donors in Boston to tears with a performance of This Land is Your Land, played on his harmonica. Bernie Sanders is almost certain to run again. What is striking about this batch of senators is that all of them are strikingly liberal.

New York’s governor, Andrew Cuomo, and Los Angeles’s mayor, Eric Garcetti, also left of center, are thought to be regional presidential contenders from the two coasts.

Just a look at these fantasies makes it pretty obvious that Abrahamson has been inhaling far too much hopium and dreaming about the blue wave.

Why the NYT so uncritical of Obama during those critical years – Benghazi, Libya invasion, the rise of ISIS, IRS scandal – was largely due to its executive editor. The Times is now owned by anti-Trump billionaire Carlos Slim so it didn’t miss a beat after Abrahamson left.

People like this need to spend some extensive time in therapy because a lost election should not bring on this sort of mental trauma with normal folks.
