On Gary Cohen’s departure
White House Press Secretary Sarah Sanders told reporters Wednesday morning that Cohen’s replacement announcement “will happen when the president is ready to make that announcement. I’m certainly not going to get ahead of him and try do that right this second.”
“The presidents got a number of people that could potentially fill that role. What I can assure you obviously is he’s going to make a good pick that can help him continue to further building a strong economy and continue creating jobs and continue focusing on long-term economic success,” she added.
On Tariffs
Sanders also said that an announcement on the tariffs is expected at the end of this week, but when asked if a signing of the tariffs might happen at Trump’s rally this Saturday, she answered, “I wouldn’t anticipate that that happens. That’s a separate type of event.”
On Stormy Daniel’s lawyers’ claims
“We’ve addressed our feelings on that situation, and I don’t have anything else to add.”
Q: How is this not chaos?
Sanders: “I think its pretty simple. Look at the success of the administration. We’ve got a strong economy, we’ve got ISIS on the run, were remaking the judiciary. Every single day we have more and more success that were adding. If you have a place in chaos, you’re not able to function and make big things happen, and we certainly have the ability and continue to do that.”
