First Lady Melania Trump went into the hospital Monday morning and underwent a kidney procedure.
“This morning, First Lady Melania Trump underwent an embolization procedure to treat a benign kidney condition,” the White House said in a statement. “The procedure was successful and there were no complications.”
Mrs. Trump is at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center and will likely remain there for the remainder of the week.
Mrs. Trump is expected to recover fully and will resume her work on the behalf of children as soon as possible.
