The Marine Corps Barracks is the oldest U.S.M.C. post in the United States having been established in 1801. The Evening Parade, originally known as the Sunset Parade, was first held there on July 5, 1957, and are now held every Friday from early May to late August.
The parade is a one-hour and fifteen-minute long event featuring the U.S. Marine Corps Band, The U.S. Marine Corps Drum and Bugle Corps, the Marine Corps Color Guard, the Marine Corps Silent Drill Platoon, Ceremonial Marchers, and Corporal Chesty XIV, the official mascot of the Marine Corps Barracks Washington.
The live stream is expected to start at 8:30 p.m. EDT and the parade is scheduled to begin at 8:45 p.m. EDT. The event will be carried live.
