Rep. Jim Jordan on Running for Speaker: ‘Congress Has Got to Do Better Job’

“Congress has got to do a better job and that’s why I wanna be the next Speaker of the House,” said Rep. Jim Jordan (R-N.C.) on Friday.

Appearing on Hannity, Jordan discussed the great things that have happened over the past year in America with very little help from Congress. Jordan called on his colleagues to do a better job and to stay focused on doing what Republicans told the American people they were going to do.

“Here’s whats at stake think about the last year a half, regulations reduced, taxes  have been lowered, unemployment the lowest it’s been in 20 years the economy is humming along, Gorusch on the Supreme Court, Kavanaugh on deck, the embassy is back in Jerusalem, were out of the crazy Iran deal and hostages have come home from North Korea. And I’m forgetting a few things, by anyone’s definition that’s an amazing year and a half,” said Jordan.

“But what’s amazing about that list as well is Congress only helped with a little bit of that the regulations and the taxes. Congress has got to do a better job and that’s why I wanna be the next Speaker of the House,” Jordan added.

Jordan continued, “We gotta focus on doing what we told the American people we were gonna do. Delivering on healthcare, delivering on border security, immigration, and those other issues.”

Jordan further discussed the importance of the midterm elections arguing Democrats will go after President Trump if they win. “They wanna impeach the president we gotta win. Well if the Democrats get in office they will go after President Trump because they’ve went so far left with their, this socialist progressive democrat you know agenda they have so this is why it’s so critical,” said Jordan.
