Watch: President Trump stops motorcade to thank firefighters

President Donald Trump stopped his motorcade Saturday to do something, once again, that is important to him.

On his way to a Make America Great Again rally in Lewis Center, Ohio, the president asked his driver to stop “The Beast” so that he could get out.

He didn’t stop to give a speech, shower praise on himself or his administration or glad-hand some local politician – nope, he stopped to thank a group of firefighters.

As the doors of the president’s limo open, one of the firemen can be heard saying, “This is great!”

Yes, it was.

The president often takes time to thank first responders and members of the military. He has taken time out of his weekend to visit military bases, fire stations, emergency centers and coast guard stations.

It’s just who he is.
