Border Patrol arrests 131 illegal aliens in Texas

US Border Patrol agents stationed at Weslaco Station detained two large groups of illegal aliens near Hidalgo, Texas. The arrests mark the second large group to be processed in that area in just over 24 hours bringing to total to 131 illegal aliens captured.

Wednesday morning, Weslaco agents detained a group of 65 illegal immigrants made up of 25 families and 11 unaccompanied children from Guatemala and El Salvador.

Weslaco agents arrested a separate group of 66 illegal immigrants made up of 20 families and 11 unaccompanied children from El Salvador, Guatemala and Honduras on Tuesday.

Each case is being processed within the immigration system.

The Rio Grande Valley sector currently has multiple campaigns focused border security, rescues and to warn illegal aliens of the dangers associated with that activity. “Operation Big Rig” and “Do not Risk” are designed to combat smuggling and save lives. Call 9-1-1 to report suspicious activity.
